Welcome -***A note about final dates and monuments:*** Many of our families are awaiting final date engraving or a stone to be placed at the cemetery for their loved one, and we have been following-up on the status of these orders. We are told by our monument company that because of this year’s late spring, while they are completing these orders as quickly as possible, not all of them will be completed by Memorial Day. In order to place or engrave the stone, they must drive their equipment right to the grave, and many cemeteries do not permit this until the ground has sufficiently hardened. Also, the outside temperature needs to be consistently warm and dry enough so the stone is not damaged while engraving. They assure us they have been going out as often as possible, including evenings and weekends, in order to complete these orders but weather has certainly been a factor this year. Your patience is very much appreciated. At Skinner Funeral Homes, we know the death of a loved one can be one of the most difficult experiences in life. We also know that a personalized, meaningful tribute can help during this time. From a traditional service to an elaborate celebration of life, we are here to comfort you and honor your loved one through the entire process. A family-owned, full-service funeral home and crematory, Skinner Funeral Homes provide all aspects of funeral goods and services including pre-planning, burial or cremation arrangements, grief support resources and monuments. The Skinner family has been providing funeral service in Cumberland for over 40 years, and in Turtle Lake since 1985. It is a privilege to continue this tradition, in Shell Lake since 2004, in Rice Lake since 2007, and at all of our locations ~ for years to come. Whether you are planning a funeral in advance, at-need, or resolving things afterward, the right amount of information and support can also help along the way. To reflect our vision of service, in our signs and logo we chose a nature scene, with light shining on a path. This is to signify the many ways we continually aspire to be "Lighting the Path ~ Guiding the Journey" in funeral service for our families. Thank you for visiting our website. Please feel free to contact us with any comments or questions. Sincerely, |
